Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Update 7 January 2021: Following the latest national lockdown Sunday Services are again suspended.

We believe there is nothing on earth as special as God’s people gathering together so this has been a difficult decision to make. However there are a very hight number of COVID cases in our area and we do not want to place peopel in unnecessary risk. We will review this decision regularly.

We are producing a Sunday service on video. To view this please see our YouTube channel: Blenheim Free Church YouTube Channel

We are carefully following all Government guidelines relating to places of worship during COVID-19.

Our other activities, Home Groups, Thursday Lunch and Messy Church, are currently suspended or taking place online. Please contact us if you would like details.

We are recording the Sunday service and making it available each Sunday on our YouTube page:

Blenheim Free Church YouTube Channel

For those without internet access the service audio will be distributed on CD.

If you can’t come to the service in person we encourage you to watch it on Sunday. It is good to maintain a regular habit of gathering as a church – even if that is ‘virtual’ at this time! Why not listen to the service and then phone someone in the church to talk about it together?

We are meeting to pray online each week. We are also producing suggestions for Bible teaching that parents can do with their children at home. We will distribute these by email.

We have a responsibility to care for one another. Please do support one another with phone calls and offers of help – particularly those who are on their own and so even more isolated.

We also have a great opportunity to show love to our neighbours. If you are not in the ‘vulnerable’ category, why not post a card through the doors of those in your street offering help if they are self-isolating? Let’s not waste the opportunity to direct people to the security and comfort that’s found in Christ.

Continue to pray for one another, our neighbours and our nation. Pray that this situation will lead to hearts open to the Gospel.
